Halftab Terms of Service

App: Halftab: ADHD Dose Tracker for iPhone, iPad, and Android ("Halftab" or "the app")
By downloading or using Halftab you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What Halftab is, and is not
Halftab is a personal logging tool. It lets you record medication doses you have taken, calculates totals from the prescription details you enter, and shows estimated timing based on general release profiles.
Halftab is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and does not identify pills. Nothing in the app is a substitute for the judgment of your prescribing clinician or pharmacist. Take medication only as prescribed. If you have questions about your medication, dosing, or side effects, contact your clinician. If you believe you have taken too much of a medication, contact emergency services or your local poison control center immediately.
2. Estimates and accuracy
Onset, peak, wear-off, and sleep-time estimates are approximations derived from published release characteristics of medication types. Real effects vary widely by person, food, sleep, other medications, and many other factors. Totals are computed from the numbers you enter; if you enter the wrong strength or quantity, the totals will be wrong. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you log and for verifying anything you rely on.
Pill illustrations are artistic representations following general brand appearances and may not match the medication you have been dispensed. Never use them to identify a pill.
2a. Website and guides
The website at halftab.app, including its guides, is general information only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for the judgment of your prescribing clinician or pharmacist. The guides summarize publicly available prescribing information as of the date shown on each page. Labels are revised, products differ between manufacturers, and the guides may contain errors or be out of date. Always follow your own prescription, the leaflet that came with your medication, and your clinician or pharmacist. If any of those disagree with something on the website, follow them.
By using the website you agree that sections 1, 8, 9, and 13 apply to the website and its guides in the same way they apply to the app. If you find an error, please tell us at the address in section 15.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 12 years old to use Halftab, and you must be legally permitted to possess the medication you log. If you are under 18, you should use the app with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
4. Your data
Halftab stores your data on your device and, when available, in your private iCloud database (iPhone and iPad) or your device's own backup to your Google account (Android). We do not receive it. Our Privacy Policy describes this in full and is part of these terms. You are responsible for maintaining a passcode on your device and for the security of your Apple ID or Google account.
5. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Halftab on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and, depending on where you got it, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, or the Google Play Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app, or use it in any way that violates law or these terms.
5a. Halftab Plus subscription
Halftab Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) that unlocks additional features such as multiple prescriptions, insights, the doctor report, the rings timeline, timing estimates, dose reminders, and dark mode. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
- Free trial. New subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial. You will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID or Google Play account is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
- Cancellation. Cancel any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or in the Google Play app → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; no partial refunds are given for unused time.
- Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple or Google Play and are subject to their refund policies; request a refund at https://reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play.
- Changes. We may change Plus features or prices with notice through the App Store or Google Play. Price changes apply to renewals after the notice period the store requires.
- Free tier. The core app (one prescription, dose logging, the sun arc timeline, totals, notes, and history) remains free. If your subscription or trial ends while you have more than one prescription, the additional prescriptions remain in the app but cannot be logged until you subscribe again. We never delete your existing logs; only you can, from Settings, at any time.
6. Intellectual property
Halftab, its name, logo, design, code, and illustrations are owned by One Light Media LLC. Medication brand names appearing in the app are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify products; no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
7. Updates and availability
We may update, change, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time. iCloud sync, Android backup, and notifications depend on Apple and Google services we do not control and may be unavailable from time to time. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ESTIMATES, TOTALS, OR ANY OTHER OUTPUT IS ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR MAKING DECISIONS ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. THE SAME APPLIES TO THE WEBSITE AND ITS GUIDES, WHICH MAY BE INCOMPLETE, INACCURATE, OR OUT OF DATE.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ONE LIGHT MEDIA LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, HEALTH OUTCOME, OR OTHER LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, OR FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE WEBSITE AND ITS GUIDES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP OR THE WEBSITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR IT, OR TEN U.S. DOLLARS IF YOU PAID NOTHING. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless One Light Media LLC from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the app or violation of these terms.
11. Apple and Google
These terms are between you and One Light Media LLC, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. If you got Halftab from Google Play, these terms are likewise between you and One Light Media LLC, not Google, and the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
12. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your data from Settings. We may terminate your license if you breach these terms. Sections 1, 2, 2a, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Williamson County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version at this address with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
