Halftab Privacy Policy

App: Halftab: ADHD Dose Tracker for iPhone, iPad, and Android ("Halftab" or "the app")

Halftab is built so that we never see your health information. This policy explains what the app stores, where it goes, and what control you have over it.

1. The short version

• Halftab has no accounts, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs.
• Everything you enter is stored on your device. On iPhone and iPad it is also kept in your own private iCloud database; on Android it is included in your device's own backup to your Google account. Only you can access either copy.
• We do not operate any server that receives your data. We cannot read, sell, or share it.
• You can delete everything at any time from inside the app.
• The website has an optional email list. Joining it is separate from the app and never required. See section 9.

2. Information the app stores

When you use Halftab, the app stores the following on your device:

• Medication and prescription details you choose: product, strength, how many units per dose, and how many times per day.
• Dose logs you create: which medication, how much, the date and time, and any note you add.
• Check-ins you create: the feelings and symptoms you pick and when.
• Pharmacy pickups and pill counts you enter on the Supply tab.
• An optional body profile (metabolism speed, dosing with food, acidic diet) used to adjust timing estimates.
• An optional first name you may enter for the greeting.
• Preferences such as appearance mode, timeline style, and whether reminders are on.

The app does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location, or any other health data on your device. It does not read or write Apple Health or Health Connect.

3. Where the information goes

On your device. All data is saved in the app's private storage on your phone or tablet.

Your iCloud (iPhone and iPad). If your device is signed into iCloud, Halftab uses Apple's CloudKit to keep a copy of your data in your private iCloud database. This lets your data survive reinstalling the app and appear on your other devices. The private database is encrypted by Apple and is accessible only to your Apple ID. One Light Media LLC has no access to it and no way to read it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

Your Google backup (Android). If backup is turned on for your Android device, the system includes Halftab's data in your device backup to your Google account, so it can be restored when you reinstall the app or set up a new phone with the same account. On devices with a screen lock, Android encrypts this backup end to end with your lock screen PIN, pattern, or password. One Light Media LLC has no access to it. Google's handling of backups is governed by Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Nowhere else. Halftab does not transmit your data to us or to any third party. There is no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking library in the app.

4. Notifications

If you turn on Dose reminders, the app schedules notifications on your device based on the doses you log. These notifications are generated and delivered locally by iOS or Android. On iPhone and iPad, the app registers with Apple's push notification service so that future features can deliver notifications; that registration produces a device token that is stored only on your device and is not sent to us.

4a. Purchases

Halftab Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's App Store on iPhone and iPad, and through Google Play on Android. Apple or Google processes the payment and holds your billing details; we never see your card number or account credentials. The app checks your subscription status with Apple or Google on your device to unlock Plus features.

• iPhone and iPad: manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refund requests go through Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Android: manage or cancel in the Google Play app → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Refund requests go through Google Play at https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637.

5. Timing estimates and medication artwork

The app shows estimated onset, wear-off, and sleep times based on general release profiles for the medication type you selected. These are approximations, not medical advice, and are computed entirely on your device. Insights are also computed on your device from your own logs. Pill illustrations are artistic representations and are not a pill identification tool.

6. Your choices and rights

• Delete everything. Settings → Delete account & all data removes your prescriptions, dose logs, check-ins, pickups, and preferences (and, on iPhone and iPad, the copy in your iCloud database) and returns the app to its first-launch state. On Android, your next device backup replaces the old copy.
• Clear history only. Settings → Clear all dose history removes dose logs but keeps your prescriptions.
• Turn off cloud backup. On iPhone and iPad, sign out of iCloud or turn off iCloud for Halftab in iOS Settings. On Android, turn off backup in your device's Settings → Google → Backup. The app continues to work with local storage only.
• Turn off reminders. Settings → Dose reminders in the app, or your device's notification settings for Halftab.
• Uninstall. Deleting the app removes all local data. Your iCloud copy remains until you delete it from within the app or from iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage. Your Google backup is managed by Android and expires if the app is not reinstalled.

Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on our end. If you have a request under GDPR, CCPA, or a similar law, the practical answer is that your data is entirely in your control on your device and in your own iCloud or Google account.

7. Children

Halftab is rated 12+ and is intended for people who manage their own prescribed medication, or for parents and caregivers logging doses on their own device. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and because the app collects nothing at all, no such information reaches us.

8. Security

Data on your device is protected by your device's encryption and passcode or screen lock. Data in iCloud is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple; Android backups are encrypted by Google, end to end when your device has a screen lock. We recommend keeping a passcode or screen lock on your device, since the app does not add its own lock screen.

9. The website and email list

The website. halftab.app is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. We do not run analytics, set cookies, or embed tracking scripts. GitHub may log visitor IP addresses to operate and secure the service, under GitHub's privacy statement.

The email list. If you enter your email address on halftab.app, we use it to send you the emails described on the newsletter page: a note when Halftab launches, new guides, and occasional app updates. Subscribing is optional and separate from the app; the app never asks for or stores your email address, and nothing you log in the app is connected to it.

• What is stored: your email address, when you subscribed, and which emails were delivered to you.
• Who stores it: Kit (Kit.com, formerly ConvertKit), the email service we use to hold the list and send the emails, under Kit's privacy policy. Kit acts on our instructions and does not use the list for its own purposes.
• Welcome email: you are added when you submit the form and receive a short welcome email right away. If someone entered your address by mistake, the unsubscribe link in that email removes you and we will not email you again.
• Your control: every email includes an unsubscribe link, which removes you immediately. To have your address deleted entirely, unsubscribe or email us and we will remove it from Kit.
• We do not sell, rent, or share the list, and we do not use it for advertising.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app or the website handles data, we will update this page and the effective date, and describe the change in the App Store and Google Play release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
