Halftab Privacy Policy

App: Halftab: ADHD Dose Tracker for iPhone and iPad ("Halftab" or "the app")
Halftab is built so that we never see your health information. This policy explains what the app stores, where it goes, and what control you have over it.
1. The short version
- Halftab has no accounts, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs.
- Everything you enter is stored on your device and, if your device is signed into iCloud, in your own private iCloud database that only you can access.
- We do not operate any server that receives your data. We cannot read, sell, or share it.
- You can delete everything at any time from inside the app.
2. Information the app stores
When you use Halftab, the app stores the following on your device:
- Medication and prescription details you choose: product, strength, how many units per dose, and how many times per day.
- Dose logs you create: which medication, how much, and the date and time.
- An optional first name you may enter for the greeting.
- Preferences such as appearance mode, timeline style, and whether reminders are on.
The app does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location, or any other health data on your device. It does not read or write Apple Health.
3. Where the information goes
On your device. All data is saved in the app's private storage on your iPhone or iPad.
Your iCloud. If your device is signed into iCloud, Halftab uses Apple's CloudKit to keep a copy of your prescriptions and dose logs in your private iCloud database. This lets your data survive reinstalling the app and appear on your other devices. The private database is encrypted by Apple and is accessible only to your Apple ID. One Light Media LLC has no access to it and no way to read it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
Nowhere else. Halftab does not transmit your data to us or to any third party. There is no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking library in the app.
4. Notifications
If you turn on Dose reminders, the app schedules notifications on your device based on the doses you log. These notifications are generated and delivered locally by iOS. The app registers with Apple's push notification service so that future features can deliver notifications; that registration produces a device token that is stored only on your device and is not sent to us.
4a. Purchases
Halftab Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and holds your billing details; we never see your card number or Apple ID credentials. The app checks your subscription status with Apple on your device to unlock Plus features. Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refund requests go through Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. Timing estimates and medication artwork
The app shows estimated onset, wear-off, and sleep times based on general release profiles for the medication type you selected. These are approximations, not medical advice, and are computed entirely on your device. Pill illustrations are artistic representations and are not a pill identification tool.
6. Your choices and rights
- Delete everything. Settings → Delete account & all data removes your prescriptions, dose logs, preferences, and the copy in your iCloud database, and returns the app to its first-launch state.
- Clear history only. Settings → Clear all dose history removes dose logs but keeps your prescriptions.
- Turn off iCloud backup. Sign out of iCloud on your device or disable iCloud Drive for Halftab in iOS Settings. The app continues to work with local storage only.
- Turn off reminders. Settings → Dose reminders, or iOS Settings → Notifications → Halftab.
- Uninstall. Deleting the app removes all local data. Your iCloud copy remains until you delete it from within the app or from iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on our end. If you have a request under GDPR, CCPA, or a similar law, the practical answer is that your data is entirely in your control on your device and in your iCloud account.
7. Children
Halftab is rated 12+ and is intended for people who manage their own prescribed medication, or for parents and caregivers logging doses on their own device. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and because the app collects nothing at all, no such information reaches us.
8. Security
Data on your device is protected by iOS encryption and your device passcode. Data in iCloud is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. We recommend keeping a passcode on your device, since the app does not add its own lock screen.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the effective date, and describe the change in the App Store release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
